Len Polsky brings over
24 years of experience in employment law and commercial litigation
to MLT. He has
appeared before the
Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal,
the Northwest Territories Supreme Court and the Northwest Territories
Court
of Appeal.
He has also
acted
for clients before a wide
range
of
administrative
boards
and
tribunals including the Alberta and Canada Labour Relations
Boards.
Len regularly advises and represents individuals and corporations
ranging from small businesses to multi-national corporations. He
has provided legal services on matters including employment agreements
and other
commercial contracts,
the
purchase
and sale of businesses, wrongful dismissal actions, human resource
policies, insurance coverage litigation, multi-million dollar construction
losses,
property
and liability claims, criminal prosecutions and corporate downsizing.
Prior to being admitted to the Alberta bar in 1983, Len studied
at The Hague and worked at a law firm in Geneva, Switzerland. He
was counsel in one of the longest civil trials
to have taken place in Canada and is a regular speaker at seminars
on insurance and employment law. He is frequently interviewed and
quoted on
significant
legal issues and cases of interest by radio,
television and print media.
