Mark Maxwell's principal experience is in the areas of insurance defence work, First Nations Law and labour litigation. Mark joined MLT from a major Calgary firm by way of Rae & Company, where he gained experience on a range of litigation projects for a variety of clients, including First Nations. His experience includes motor vehicle accident claims, property damage, construction, defective product and workmanship issues.

In addition to conducting discoveries he has appeared before the Federal Court, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Alberta Court of Queen's Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal and a range of administrative tribunals including the Municipal Development Appeal Board, the Environmental Appeal Board, the Alberta Workers' Compensation Board, the Alberta Securities Commission and the Minister of Indian and Northern Affairs.

Prior to embarking on his legal career Mark worked in a number of capacities with the Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre in Calgary providing residential and vocational support to children and adults with developmental disabilities. Mark is an avid sports fan who coaches children's soccer and hockey.
