Harold MacKay is one of
MLT's most distinguished lawyers and a former Managing partner
and Chairman of the firm. His broadly-based legal practice includes
commercial dispute resolution,
corporate
governance,
corporate and commercial
law, and resource law. With years of legal practice and experience
as a mediator, negotiator and arbitrator, Harold has a reputation
for being able
to achieve amicable resolution to disputes by effectively
managing the interests
of each party. Parties also benefit from his practical experience
in interpreting and administering long term commerical agreements.
Harold Mackay provides representation and comprehensive legal
advice to both private and publically-listed companies,
multi-national and Crown corporations, smaller enterprises, and
not-for-profit
organizations. He advises on a variety of matters concerning
governance, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions,
organizational structuring, and resource and
industrial
project
development. As a Corporate Director of a number of private and
public companies in the forestry, agricultural, banking,
insurance and mining sectors, Harold has chaired committees relating
to governance,
special transactions and risk management.
