Lisette LeBlanc practices
in the area of commercial, farm and personal insolvency and restructuring.
Her practice also involves mediation and general litigation.
Her insolvency experience includes proceedings under the CCAA,
as well as personal and farm foreclosure applications before
the Court of Queen’s Bench. Lisette also provides advice
to clients on the enforceability of their security and on debt
recovery. Lisette has appeared before the Court of Appeal for
Saskatchewan.
Prior to MLT, Lisette spent a term as a Contracts Administrator
with Bombardier Inc. at the NATO Flying Training in Canada program
in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. With Bombardier, Lisette was responsible
for jet aircraft acquisition and delivery, as well as for the maintenance
support contracts for jet aircraft, jet engines and flight training
devices. She was also responsible for negotiating and reviewing
agreements, for general contract administration and for securing
military export licenses. Prior to that, Lisette articled and was
an associate practicing in the area of business law with a major
Atlantic Canada law firm.
Lisette is fluently bilingual in Canada’s two official languages,
and volunteers her time each year to judge debates between the
French speaking high schools of the Province for the annual Journée
fransaskoise du droit.
