Chad Jesse joined MLT as an Associate in the Corporate Commercial Law Group after gaining valuable energy industry experience with Saskatchewan Power Corporation's in-house legal team, Cundall, Baumgartner & Co. law firm in Estevan, Saskatchewan and Enbridge Pipelines (Saskatchewan) Inc. as a field operator.

A significant portion of Chad’s practice is devoted to diligent and timely service of a number of Saskatchewan, Alberta and U.S. based oil and gas producers and petroleum industry service providers. He has assisted producers with the purchase of both Crown-owned and freehold petroleum and natural gas rights, including extensive due diligence activities such as title reviews and drilling opinions. He’s drafted and successfully negotiated oil and gas purchase and sale transactions. Chad has also registered and settled builders’ lien claims and advised upon a number of specific lease and mineral holding issues.

Chad also has experience advising both private and public corporations on a wide range of commercial situations that include preparing in depth due diligence investigations, leading commercial real estate transactions, negotiating and drafting complex share and asset sale agreements and registering the financing instruments and reporting on the security for these transactions.
