Conrad Hadubiak's civil
litigation practice has an emphasis on bankruptcy and insolvency,
security realization, receiverships, corporate restructuring,
foreclosure and debt recovery. Conrad provides advice to a wide
range of clients including banks, trust companies and government
lending institutions on all aspects of the law relating to insolvency
and debt collection.
In conjunction with other experienced members of MLT's Bankruptcy
and Insolvency Practice Group, Conrad has advised financial institutions
regarding commercial foreclosures or receiverships of a major
hotel, a computer company, several retail shopping centres, a
large industrial manufacturer, and various large agricultural
operations.
Conrad also provides advice to debtors on debt restructuring
and commercial reorganization. In this aspect of his practice
he acted as counsel on various CCAA restructurings including
for a motion picture and television production and distribution
company with operations throughout western Canada and various
successful commercial reorganizations pursuant to The Bankruptcy
and Insolvency Act. Conrad is active as a lecturer and presenter
for client seminars on bankruptcy and insolvency, farm foreclosures,
security realization, debt collection, and amendments to The
Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
