Privacy Law

Dan Furst has negotiated and drafted software, trademark and technology licensing agreements, as well as the intellectual property and privacy components of larger commercial transactions. Dan has also drafted agreements governing the creation, use and commercialization of intellectual property, including strategic alliance agreements.

In his Privacy Law practice Dan has:

  • Assisted clients to develop privacy and information management policies and practices;
  • Advised clients on responses to access to information requests under various privacy and access laws;
  • Prepared pleadings and advised clients in successful inquiries before the Alberta Information and Privacy Commissioner.

Dan has served as a Commerce Officer with the Competition Bureau in Ottawa. He has advised on building marketing campaigns and assisted clients in clearing mergers before the Competition Bureau.
