Greg
Fingas joined MLT following a clerkship with Justices Vancise,
Lane and Jackson of the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal. Greg's
practice focuses primarily on general litigation, environmental
law and privacy law. Greg
works with senior counsel on all aspects of the litigation process
including drafting pleadings and research
documents, preparing affidavits and conducting examinations for
discovery. Greg has conducted trials in the Saskatchewan Provincial
Court, drafted and brought applications in the Saskatchewan Court
of Queen's Bench, appeared with senior counsel before the Saskatchewan
Court of Appeal, and assisted in drafting documents for the Supreme
Court of Canada.
Greg regularly advises clients on environmental law issues including
compliance, liability and remediation, as well as drafting
agreements and litigation documents. He has assisted clients
from a range of industries including mining, heavy industry,
light industry and retail sales.
In the area of privacy law, Greg assists clients in the health
care field in completing privacy impact assessments and drafting
related policies and agreements. He also provides advice to
clients on issues of access to information and individual privacy
rights.
