Dan
Anderson is an experienced securities and commercial lawyer
who provides specialized business and legal advice to corporations,
joint ventures, partnerships and other business organizations
in the natural resources, financial and manufacturing sectors,
among others. He has acted on a number of significant corporate
transactions, including numerous public and private equity
and debt offerings, public and private company mergers, take-over
bids, joint venture arrangements, corporate and joint venture
restructurings and hedge transactions. As part of his commercial
practice Dan has conducted federal Competition Act compliance
activities in relation to a number of mergers.
Much of Dan's
practice is focused on the natural resources sector. He acts
as counsel to one of the world's leading uranium and metals
mining and exploration corporations, and one of the world's
largest potash mining companies. He has led numerous securities
and other transactions for gold and other mineral mining and
exploration companies. Dan has done significant work related
to international joint venture arrangements for companies in
this sector.
Dan is one
of MLT's transactional team leaders. He knows well his colleagues'
many strengths and effectively marshals groups of experts within
MLT, calling on external specialists when necessary, in order
to achieve our clients' business objectives.
