Originally from Regina,
John joined the Saskatoon office of MacPherson Leslie & Tyerman
LLP in 2003 and was admitted to the bar in 2004. His primary
practice area is litigation, with an expanding emphasis on administrative,
criminal and regulatory law.
In 2004 John was appointed to assist with the Commission of
Inquiry Into the Wrongful Conviction of David Milgaard, a multi-party
public inquiry involving over a hundred witnesses and over 100,000
documents. In this capacity John routinely handles hundreds of
documents relating to multiple witnesses and regularly engages
in complex legal research on matters related to evidence, criminal
law and the administration of justice.
